Degree: B.S. in Kinesiology

How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship allowed me to achieve goals I would not have been able to otherwise, such as going on two study abroad trips and learning a great deal on foreign health care policy. The Stamps Scholarship also opened up pathways to make lifelong friendships both on campus and across the nation.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
No dream is too big, so don’t be afraid to chase them and give them everything you’ve got.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My parents and my best friend Dave were my biggest supporters. They always helped guide me when I was lost or had a tough decision to make, and they encouraged me to pursue my goals and passion.

What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
My favorite Stamps Scholar memories are the national conventions. It was a great platform to learn from the greatest minds in the country, make new friends from other schools, and deepen my relationships with my friends from my university.

What comes next?
I will be attending the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria starting in August of 2018.
