How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship encouraged me to make the most of every moment of my college experience and opened more doors for me than I can count. By alleviating the financial stress of paying for college, the Stamps Scholarship gave me the opportunity to involve myself much more actively on campus than I could have otherwise. I was able to participate in a variety of different organizations that taught me many valuable lessons. My enrichment fund also allowed me to participate in a number of business workshops and study abroad in Singapore, Hong Kong, and China. I was also able to engage frequently with a wonderful group of my fellow Stamps Scholars at Miami University. Because I was so thankful to receive the scholarship, I made it my goal to get as much out of my time in undergrad as possible, and looking back I’ve realized that motivation is what led to the successes I have been fortunate to experience.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
Don’t stress too much about the unknowns in your future. As long as you put in the necessary time and work, good things will come.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
It would be very difficult for me to pick just one person or group who has had the greatest impact on me throughout my college career because I was fortunate to interact with so many great people. If I had to choose, however, I would say that my professors in the Farmer School of Business have impacted me the most. Through their excellent, engaged teaching style and hard work outside of the classroom, they have all served as strong influencers for me, each in their own unique way.

Please share your most memorable Stamps Scholar experience.
My most memorable Stamps Scholar experience was attending the National Convention at Georgia Tech in April 2015. Having the opportunity to meet so many talented Scholars from the top universities across the country was a very unique and rewarding experience. I also enjoyed the various events hosted throughout the weekend, as well as the chance to thanks Mr. and Mrs. Stamps in person for all that they’ve done for me.

Plans after graduation?
I will begin working as an Investment Banking Analyst at Rothschild in the firm’s New York City office this July.
